And fantastic news for the girls who walk beside them.

JIMMY CHOO will launch a men's line !!! remember the JIMMY CHOO for H&M collection from last year? well i think because of the success of this collaboration, they decided to bring it to their selfs.

the men (and we) have to wait a little tough....the collection will be hitting the stores for the fall/winter 2011....start saving, i say !!!

life isn't BLACK & WHITE....

it's GOLD (with a little help from the fabulous leopard-print)....J'ADR !!!

this December i am totally in love with GOLD....dresses, make-up, accessories and even my Christmas-tree....and i mean the tree itself (not the decoration), i even topped it off with a little GOLD party hat.
but the nicest golden item this Christmas was delivered by ups today....my shopping-spree goods from YOOX, inside it was the most fragile but OH SO delicious perfume from ANNA DELLO RUSSO (you know i love her), she designed this perfume especially for YOOX.com (and you know i totally love them !!!), SO when the 2 collaborated....I JUST GOT TO HAVE IT ;)AND i did know exactly what to wear with it....DOLCE & GABBANA leopard-print lingerie (also in the yoox package)....for a very lovely holiday.SO, live your life like it's golden and have a funny & wonderful Christmas !!!

LADY GAGA goes dutch

she's in love with dutch designers....a green "army" coat by IRIS van HERPEN, wears VIKTOR & ROLF regularly (she even adores their perfume FLOWERBOMB), wearing JAN TAMINIAU in paris and now her team of (fashion) experts asked a dutch shoe designer to send a pair to London....for THE photo-shoot of her new BORN THIS WAY album.the name of this designer: MIRIAM van WEEGHEL (clothing by: JANNEKE VERHOEVEN), i checked her out of course....and i found-out that she has her own blog: http://www.miriamvanweeghel.blogspot.com/ here you can see what she is designing....i really like these "knight in shining armor" platforms....I GOT TO HAVE THEM ;)
I SINCERELY HOPE THAT MIRIAM'S SHOES MAKE IT ON THE NEW LADY GAGA ALBUM, I WILL KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED (and my wallet too....i must get me those shoes !!!).

After 10 years of being the editor in chief at the french vogue, she says goodbye to this amazing magazine (big words....i know....but it's true)....MERCI, CARINE ROITFELD....that is what we all say !!!

i had the opportunity to meet her ones at the GARETH PUGH f/w 2010 runway show during Paris fashion week, and it's one of my well-cherished moments.

her electric style made the French vogue to the most adored edition of the world and it made her-self a beloved fashion icon....pencil-skirts, silk blouses, leopard print, fur, the color black, leather and sexy high heels of course (there are even some fashionistas who "adopt" her last name)....look de Carine:but it isn't all glamour being Carine....early this year she (and her crew) was banned from the BALANCIAGA show....RIGHT AT THE DOOR, she smirked, turned on her heels and walked away, but the question that lingers is WHY??? nobody really knows.

WHAT she's gonna do now, i don't know, but she says that she wants to spend more time one her own interests....and that's interesting, but who can fill-up her shoes ??? only time will tell.

schedule AIFW a/w 2011

VERY LOVELY NEWS (to get a little warmer inside on this cold and snowy day), the schedule of the upcoming AIFW is out.... AND I LIKE IT !!!

this will be a wonderful fashion week (in every fashion aspect of this sentence).

first up the designer who will open the AIFW: JAN TAMINIAU on wednesday the 26Th of January
then dutch womens-wear designer: MONIQUE COLLIGNON with her adored MC by MONIQUE COLLIGNON collection on Friday the 28Thand then the very lovely designer: TONY COHEN....this one is the ONE to see !!! and his show will be held on saturday the 29Th in between there are more fashion-shows of course (SUPERTRASH, ADDY van den KROMMENACKER and many more), but if i had to pick a few, these designers are on the top of my list.

After 2 day's of shopping in London....i decided to do some "SIGHTSEEING" SO, i went to Bond street, with a lovely guide (me) !!!

WELCOME TO BOND STREET, when you look to your right, you can see London's largest x-mas present (CARTIER).
if you look straight ahead, you can catch a glimpse of the prince of jewelry (HARRY WINSTON).look at the left side, we arrived at a famous french design institute (LOUIS VUITTON), but it more fun inside, so follow me. let's go up-stairs with this amazing elevator and feel free to take a picture.now we arrived at the first floor....LADY'S WEAR....here we can see a LV trunk that will easy go trough the inspection at your local airport....(GOT TO HAVE IT).to celebrate the end of this tour on bond street, i will let you enjoy this window display from London's #1 retailer in leather-goods (MULBERRY).i hope you have enjoyed this tour, and i will be looking forward for your return....then i will take you trough the wonderful world of ALEXANDER MCQUEEN (who has a terrific store here on this street)....bye bye for now.

expo Matthew Williamson

on the day that the whole (fashion) world is talking about his upcoming bridal collection, i wanna share my visit to his exhibition with you....i am talking about MATTHEW WILLIAMSON of course.

It was a very cold day in London and when i arrived at Somerset house, i had forgotten that there was a special (as in sponsored by TIFFANY'S & CO) ice-skating-ring, it was a real winter fairy-tail for your eye's....a giant Christmas-tree, hot coco, ice-skating and Tiffany blue....as far as the eye could see....in the biggest Tiffany Box (see below), there was even a cute little candy/jewelry shop (bought me some gingerbread and a candy-cane there, i couldn't resist).and when the cold got to me, i walked inside to see the exhibition (I'm not gonna let you see much from the expo itself though, it is fun to see for your self).some amazing pictures by great photographers such as Steven Meisel and Nick Knight on the wall....even the sofa had an "Ibiza style" touch to it.if you are in London, visit this lovely expo at the Somerset house, where you can see pictures of him-self and of his past collections (backstage and on the runway)....it will be on display till 30 January 2011....have fun !!!

on my way out, i passed by the RIZZOLI bookshop and saw this book....you know me....GOT TO HAVE IT (of course)....and i bought a scented candle at the Matthew Williamson store to put beside it on my coffee-table....WELL DONE, DEAR MATTHEW.

Happy at Harrods

next stop....HARRODS....i just love it there (if you skip the tourist-route).

first i have to show you 2 of the windows....famous all around the world !!!OK, let's cut the chit-chat....SHOP TILL WE DROP !!!

i have 3 thing's on my list that i have to score at Harrods, first-up the DOLCE & GABBANA beauty stand (we don't have it in the Netherlands, SO it was all OOOH and AAAH. i was eyeing for this gold nail-polish and this fabulous black mascara, when i received my little "goodie" bag there was a present in it as-well....the lovely sales assistant put a DOLCE & GABBANA eyelash curler (bye bye SHU UEMURA) with my purchases....how very kind.

and when i turned around, what did my eye see....TOM FORD beauty....i GOT TO HAVE his new designed lipstick....SO i did, in this amazing color....SMOKED RED.OK, i need a coffee break....my head is twirling from excitement....and where else to go but LADUREE (my favorite place to go in Paris AND London), but i can't keep sitting in my seat....I GOT TO GET me that JOHN GALLIANO box with macarons....MMMMM.AND THEN THE CLOCK HIT 8 PM, TIME TO GO BACK TO THE HOTEL, CHANGE AND EAT.it was a very lovely day at this very lovely amusement-park and i got really connected....I AM OF TODAY AN OFFICIAL HARRODS CUSTOMER (thanks to this fabulous little black card). YEEHA !!!

INSIDE THE KELLYBAG

at SELFRIDGES there was a giant Hermes KELLYBAG, but it has a twist to it....you could go inside....SO, i did (of course) !!!















i stepped inside the lovely bag and i sat down (yes there was a stool), and then a movie started....a young woman came into an room, looked under the bed and picked-up her KELLYBAG, and then....the giant bag i am in start to move like something from an theme-park.

isn't that fabulous....now we know how a kelly bag looks at the world.
when i stepped-out again, i asked the lovely lady of Hermes "COULD YOU GIFT-WRAP THIS FOR ME PLEASE?"

LOVELY LONDON

SO....i am back from LONDON, it was very lovely but ooh so cold !!! and don't get me started about the construction-work....the whole city was one big building-site, oxford circus, regent street, the Ritz hotel, regular streets and tube-stations....all are under construction....i asked the locals why and guess what they said....the Olympic games in 2012....isn't that JUST great !!!

but that didn't get me down....because THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING and i had much to see and i must work-down my shopping list, but first let's enjoy this COCA COLA "GLEE" CLUB (and they are good)...."ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOUUUUUUU" !!!over the next few day's you gonna find out more from this shopping-trip....where i was, what i did and what i scored (of course)....SO ho ho ho, STAY TUNED !!!

SWEET LIKE WATCHES

there are some new watches on the market, especially for the giving season (to GET is nice too)....and DAMN, they are sweet like pure chocolate.

first to taste: TECHNOMARINE CRUISE SPORT CHOCOLATE (that's a real mouth full).
and as dessert: the TRIWA "NEVIL" in HAVANA BROWN.YUM YUM....GIVE ME SOME (with a lovely ribbon on it, if you know what i mean).
