STYLIST TO THE HOLLYWOOD STARLETS: RACHEL ZOE created a "new Aspen chic" collection for the fall of 2012....love the black, white & grey suits, amazing long skirt with high split and that sequined little black dress, these are the only looks that i loved though, the rest are way to 70's for me, but fun FUR sure !!!

Designer teddy bears for Children In Need

Some fashion peeps from the United Kingdom have a very good heart, they designed a teddy bear for BBC'S Children In Need charity....Alexa Chung, Henry Holland (House of Holland), Katie Grand (in collaboration with Louis Vuitton), Giles Deacon, Mulberry, Unique by TOPSHOP, Erdem and some other Brits participated for this good cause.

the other fabulous collaboration at MAC (after GARETH PUGH) is no one else then DAPHNE GUINNES, the heiress to the Guinness beer brand, still one of the hottest socialite's of London AND last but not least a true fashion icon (she had the Alexander McQueen Armadillo shoes first, even before Lady Gaga and when that happens you know you're someone), sooo BACK to MAC: an amazing limited collection in the real fashion colours. me myself fell in love with one of the nail-polishes called: OYSTER SHELL, a kind of nude tone but different....i topped my nails with just this colour but added on 2 of them a matt-top-coat and one other with some lovely sparkles....my new signature look ;)
The DAPHNE GUINNESS collection is still available at your local MAC counter or store (after this one it's IRIS APFEL and BETH DITTO'S time at MAC).

Remember the invite i received for Paris MEN'S fashion week, QASIMI HOMME. the show looks amazing !!! OK, it's a men's fashion show but even i want some of the garments that walked the runway: that black leather and grey sweater with the invite print, one of those caps, see-through shirt (yes see-through for tha boy's mmmmm, IF they have washboard abs of course, I JUST LOVE IT) and don't forget that fabulous tartan skirt (which i would love to wear with a cool grey tee and a leather jacket)....ENJOY THE SHOW ;)

WHAT A COLLEBORATION !!! after a not so fabulous Missoni for Target collection (in my opinion...to much Missoni), but this collaboration will be AMAZING, those dresses (cute), those colours (spot-on), those bags (to die for).
This JASON WU for TARGET collection will hit the stores on the 5Th of February and the prices are between $19 and $60 Sooo if there is a lovely American resident who will shop at Target for me (because i live in a little but beautiful country far far away)....that would be FA-BU-LOUS !!!

YOU KNOW I LOVE TO SHOP....RIGHT??? well in New York it was no difference, here are some high-lights of my NEW YORK CITY GOODIE BAG:

First some LADY GAGA stuff....i visited her "WORKSHOP" at Barney's....really cool and expensive things, saw an amazing leather jacket, i believe it was between the $400,- and $700,- SO, i bought me some little stuff (it's not the size that counts ;)at a local record store i found me THE MONSTER BALL TOUR DVD (not out yet in the Netherlands, me very happy).as a true stylist and blogger you can not leave New York City without visiting the fabulous boutique of PATRICIA FIELD, what a lovely store, amazing staff and a real blogger/stylists accessories heaven....found me 2 spiked rings (one gold the other one in silver), big cross bracelet and a pair of big lightning-bolt earrings.then some BALENCIAGA at BERGDORF GOODMAN, i totally forgot to check-out the TOM FORD beauty counter at this prestige department store....but you can't just have it all....or CAN i ???time to hit TIME SQUARE (yes, i am a tourist)finally i went to TIFFANY & CO at fifth avenue (just because i adore BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S and really adore their silver jewelry).
SO, this was it....i could not let you see ALL the things i bought and found just because i don't have the space here on my blog. NEW YORK IS AMAZING FOR FASHIONISTA'S AND SHOPAHOLICS....I THINK I WILL BE GOING BACK SOON (new season, new purchases).

i kinda love this last tote for my-self, really adore that silly bird. the "zoo collection" is available in the GUCCI online-shop, prices between €100,- and €500,- FINALY we (grown-ups) can look like SURI CRUISE too, new fashion icon of 2012 ;)

JANUARI: the FIRENZE-4-EVER dinner party by LUISAVIAROMA, AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK and the MODEFABRIEK (with special guest BRYAN BOY).

FEBRUARI: getting the AMAYA ARZUAGA Paris fashion week invite, receiving first (and certainly no last) messages from STEFANO GABBANA....me so like this !!!

MARCH: going to PARIS FASHION WEEK, seeing KARLY KLOSS and Karolina Kurkova outside the VIKTOR & ROLF fashion show, visiting the AMAYA ARZUAGA fashion show.

APRIL: posted my best viewed piece to date....LET'S GO TO PORTOFINO (4000 hits each month).

MAY: launched my t-shirt line at spreadshirt www.weartodare.spreadshirt.nl

JUNE: attending the TOP SHOPS HOLLAND FAIR, working my camera behind the famous runway photographer PETER STIGTER at FASHIONCLASH Maastricht and then being shot by the master himself, my vacation on party & peace island IBIZA.

JULI: again at the MODEFABRIEK and AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK.

AUGUSTUS: styled a photo-shoot in PARIS.

SEPTEMBER: receiving many invites for PARIS FASHION WEEK, Lutz, Talbot Runhof, AMAYA ARZUAGA, Ingrid Vlasov, CLAUDINE IVARI and Gaspard Yurkievich.

OKTOBER: meeting my fashion icons outside the VIKTOR & ROLF fashion show: GARETH PUGH and ANNA DELLO RUSSO (thank you for your time and was fun speaking with you).

NOVEMBER: WEAR TO DARE went to NEW YORK CITY and my 2o something B-day !!!

DECEMBER: being ask to be in the new dutch magazine FASHIONISTA for their BLOGGER & STYLE page.

it was an accelerated year for WEAR TO DARE and for MY-SELF: had fun at work, made some new friends, found LOVE and lost it again and traveled to some amazing places....YES, 2011 was a good year, hopefully 2012 will do the same (and a little bit more) HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY !!!

LAST DAY IN THE CITY & THE PARK !!!one of the 2 towers, home of BEYONCE with hubby JAY-Z and many other celebrity's, the other one for doing business.that glass tower in the middle: THE HEARST MAGAZINE BUILDING, home of JOE ZEE and his ELLE usa staff.ME enjoying central park (with my BURBERRY PRORSUM bag, VERSACE sneakers, TOM FORD lipstick, purchases from TIFFANY & CO and a lovely skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks).VIEW OF THE CITYYES, my girl RAMONA enjoyed the view of this amazing city as-wellhard to find, but after a long quest AND climb, we did: BELVEDERE CASTLEME and my girls
SO, this is the end of my NEW YORK trip, we had fun, we cried, we did some shopping (me most of the time like EVERY minute of EVERY day ;) we laughed, we lost each other during the Rockefeller Christmas tree lightning, then got lost 2 more times together BUT after all WE HAD ONE HELL OF A PARTY, THANKS GIRLS !!!

one MEMORIAL a MONUMENTAL LADY and a touch of BROOKLYN.

on a sunny and cold first of December in New York, i went to pay my respect to this great and fabulous city, on the place where it all ones was: WORLD TRADE CENTER....now a beautiful memorial park with 2 big square shaped fountains....the silence on this construction site was unbelievable, the emotions that welled-up inside of me even more so.
after i payed my respect to this city, i want to enjoy it even more....let's go to BROOKLYN !!! what a bridge, what an view, WHAT A CITY !!!one of the most special places of Brooklyn, is under and between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridgeswearing my black trench-coat, forever 21 purple leopard belt, VERSACE for H&M sneakers and my beloved purple patent leather BURBERRY PRORSUM runway bag.after a long stroll you gonna get your tummy rumbling....SO, it's time for these 3 lady's (me and my girls) to hit a real pizza place and damn it was good.time to git back to the city, not by foot this time but cosy in a cab....next stop: BATTERY PARKones we reached Battery park, i put my girls on the ferry to see LADY LIBERTY up close and personal, me my-self saw her close enough from the park....I WENT SHOPPING ;)

Christmas in New York city is really magical. the whole town is in the holiday spirit, swinging and singing salvation army folk at almost every corner, light EVERYWHERE and a lot of people on a shopping-spree....ME included !!!

when you are in NEW YORK for the holiday's try to get your-self to the christmas tree lightning ceremony at rockefeller center....AMAZING !!!and yes that's that BIEBER boy at rockefeller center, the little girls standing around me drove me crazy with their screaming but hey it's Christmas ;)the beautiful ribbon of CARTIERjust around the corner of rockefeller center there is the lovely store of JUCY COUTURE, i am in love with their staircase.let's go to THE holiday department store: MACY'S i strolled through the ails and visited SANTA but i do not like this department store, this one would not survive in Europe, to OLD and scruffy looking....please re-vamp this store and welcome it to the 21Th centuryacross the street: VICTORIA'S SECRET man do i love love love this lingerie heaven :Da true stylist and blogger you can not leave New York without seeing the amazing boutique of PATRICIA FIELD, her staff is really adorable and the store it-self: ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC

My little country will never be the same again (the dutch fashion world that is), first let me tell you my news of the day, week, month, you know what....of the YEAR, OK hold on tight: the Netherlands will get her own VOGUE magazine, isn't that AMAZING!!! the dutch Anna Wintour will be Karin Swerink (from GLAMOUR magazine) and her Grace Coddington will be FIONA HERING (i hope), i could not wait any longer so i made my own DUTCH (Nippon)VOGUE BEAUTY cover starring the lovely Patricia van der Vliet.
then there was the news that there will be a WORLD FASHION WEEK being held in New York somewhere in 2012, ADDY VAN DEN KROMMENACKER will show his collection to represent the Netherlands....you go Addy, shine at that fashion week for us !!!
next week the HOLLANDS NEXT TOP MODEL final will be held and then we know which model will rock the fashion world and we are very good at that, remember PATRICIA VAN DER VLIET, the only next top model of the world to walk the biggest runway shows (season after season) and stars in several designer campaigns, then we have CECILE, SANNE who became the first World Next Top Model in new york, SYLVIA and KIM who had her first Italian VOGUE photo-shoot this week.

Italian designer brand: Salvatore Ferragamo is a huge hit this fall (thanks to LADY GAGA and friends who all wore that black&white "pied de poule" dress and shoes and clutch and...), NOW Ferragamo comes with a new scent for us girls called SIGNORINA.
Signorina opens with red current and pink peppercorn then leads to a heart of peony, jasmin and rose, the base....mmmm very nice....musk, patchouli and vanilla but there's an extra accord with a gourmand touch....PANACOTTA, isn't that DE-LIS-IOUS (on sale from February 2012).

I LOVE BALMAIN IN EVERY SEASON but this spring 2012 collection is really my dream wardrobe (the fabrics, cut, feel, tightness, accessories, colour use etc, etc)....this all thanks to their new designer OLIVIER ROUSTEING, gave Christophe Decarnin an amazingly expensive trashy look, Rousteing continues on the same foot but not with that trashy finish, the Balmain woman becomes polished and that exactly what they needed from a new designer. one thing still bugs me about BALMAIN....TO EXPENSIVE !!! but thank god that's gonna change with their more affordable PIERRE BALMAIN line (on sale from early spring....gonna shop till i drop.)

I THINK THAT LANVIN IS ALWAYS A SMASHING HIT but usually it's a little bit to girly for me (if you know what i mean), for spring 2012 Alber Albaz gave us a more POWER WOMAN with some amazing looks (just look at those pants and pencil-skirts, FANTASTIC!!!), to die for accessories (i really got to get me one of those big crosses for around my neck) and spot-on prints (like that "snake" print dress at the end, it's not a all-over print but actually the whole snake, YESSSSSSSS me like this).

Paris fashion week is not over yet, i still have some interesting thing to show you, like this new designer CLAUDINE IVARI. born on august 8 1985 in Paris, she studied at the American university of Paris and then she wanted to study "nouvelle couture" at the renowned fashion school, ESMOD....and YES, she makes new couture, the garments looked really divine up close, the right kind of fabrics and amazing beading, can't wait to see what she has in store for the fall 2012 (talking about stores, google her avenue Marceau boutique and be amazed) .

So, let's go back to Paris fashion week, this time a piece about my favorite spanish designer....Amaya Arzuaga, i just adore her....she always designs from a female-point of view BUT with an edge, and that's just the thing i love about her. enough chit-chat, let's get on with the show....the runway was at the CITE DE LA MODE ET DESIGN (a green and odd looking building, but nice for a fashion show).

usualy i'm no fan of sorbet colours but these garments look hot (i mean really hot, have you looked at those necklines? muy caliente), i'm obsessed by one outfit, the mint coloured dress from the 3th picture (those black lines, the pleating of the skirt and the little sleeve, i would love to get me this one). during the next season of paris fashion week i will have some more to show you from this designer and maybe i can delight you with an interview that i hope to plan with AMAYA ARZUAGA, for now enjoy spring 2012 !!!

It's 12 pm and i'm at THE GRAND INTERCONTINENTAL hotel on the rue Scribe for the Gaspard Yurkievich s/s 2012 fashion show (i know where i'm sleeping during the next fashion week, what a glamorous hotel). again, a very beautiful salon with an AMAZING chandelier hanging in the middle, i stood still for a moment before i went to went to my seat....D4 (not bad).BUT my seat was not good enough, i could only see the top part of the models, SO here are some pictures of the models (with a little bit of fashion).after the show i went outside for some daylight and when i walked outside i bumped into a lovely dutch girl with an amazing GIVENCHY bag.and then some girls who walked the show (finally i saw some model-legs).
unfortunately i can't tell or show you what the new collection will look like SO google away i say (i'm gonna do the same, so that i too can see what it will be) !!!

AT FIRST SIGHT I DID NOT LIKE THIS S/S 2012 COLLECTION BY MY FAVORITE DESIGNERS DUO but when i took a second look, it reminded me of my childhood and my favorite toy....BARBIE dolls, especially the way the garments fitted the models....stiff (remember when you as a little girl or boy made your own barbie clothes from pieces of paper, that how it looks), the models walked like dolls and there was a real size bridal barbie, the accessories are TO DIE FOR and i just got to get me those ankle-cuffs and candy coloured bags. THE question is: WHAT CAN A SILK SCARF DO FOR YOU !!! apparently a whole lot, if you believe my favorite Italian designer duo Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, you don't need to go shopping at other brands you only have to buy tons of silk scarves for their spring 2012 look, just wrap them around your arms, torso, hair, legs & neck and you have an amazing outfit, combine other scarves together for a whole diffirent wardrobe OR....if your not that handy (like me) just go to your nearest D&G store and get these ready-to-wear garments without picking-up a needle.

I WANTED TO LOVE THIS COLLECTION (i really do), i took a second look in the hope to like it instead of love, but no....it is just not working for me: the fabrics look cheap, the colour combinations are not working as they should (this kind of pink or blue don't go well with black) and the style clashes don't do their job (western bow-tie and waist-ribbon on a pink dress with black&white striped sleeves ???) BUT i love the military influences and the hair/make-up of the models and truly adore the shoes....but who doesn't !!!

this season IT-colours is one of my all-time favorite colours: pink....SHOCKING PINK, and when i think of this colour i go back in time and visit the creator Elsa Schiaparelli at her atelier in Paris.miss Schiaparelli was an eccentric woman who worked and lived at place De vendome Paris, in her time she created some amazing pieces and did all kind of colleborations (her lobster dress which she created with Salvador Dali is one of her most memorable one) and designed movie costumes (MOULIN ROUGE from 1952 with Zsa Zsa Gabor as leading-lady).Elsa was also THE biggest competition for COCO CHANEL as she also created custom jewelery (which still can be found on the Internet) and founder of SHOCKING PINK....with Schiaparelli in mind i surged for an outfit for this fall. some BLACK & WHITE for the back-in-time feel....i'm no fan of VIVIENNE WESTWOOD but this dress from her ANGLOMALONIA label rocks my fashion world especially with these amazing ALEXANDER MCQUEEN booties in shocking pink....Schiaparelli quote: "IN DIFFICULT TIMES FASHION IS ALWAYS OUTRAGEOUS"

yes holiday news: an collaboration between a pop-icon and a classy department-store for a crazy Christmas, the entire 5Th floor of BARNEYS NEW YORK will be cleared and later filled with GAGALISIOUS stuff....yes that's right....an entire floor dedicated to LADY GAGA and this will be called: this workshop is lady gaga's personal take on santa's workshop, you can find all sorts of holiday gifts with an twist such as candies, toys, apparel, accessories, candles and cosmetics but the most fun for me are the limited edition items like jewelery made from rock-Candie, lovely lipsticks, lip shaped hand-painted dark chocolate and a RUBICKS CUBE....how cool is that. if you think that lady gaga is seeing dollars right now....no way jose, she's no misses scrooge, 25% of the entire sales will go to a charity of her choice, GAGA'S WORKSHOP will be open from mid November (one week later i will be in New York, so i have to drop by Barneys for sure)....HO HO HO, i'm in love with Christmas !!!

usually i'm no fan of cruise collections but this one for spring 2012 by my favorite dutch designers VIKTOR & ROLF is divine, just look at the cut and colour use (i'm totally into their yellow and electric blues) and what about the denim....VA-VA-VOEM....BUT what really got me drooling are the BAGS (and sunglasses), i just got to get me that giant brown clutch AND the blue carry-all AND those black evening bags....boy o boy this is gonna hurt my bank account, job well done boy's !!!

a little while back i told you about the new (and more affordable) diffusion line from BALMAIN....PIERRE BALMAIN, this collection will carry all kind of pieces, from tees €120 till evening-gowns €900. it will not hitting the stores before early December but here are some of the first looks:
OMG, isn't this AMAZING !!! the colour, the style, the jacket, the cut, the pants, the print....it has my name written all-over it.

you now i truly adore this British designer, but this time i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE him, now i can actually afford something....he created a younger and more urban diffusion line called MW by MATTHEW WILLIAMSON and i think it's gonna be a serious player on the fashion market !!!
it's an approximately 250 pieces collection and the prices are between $400-$560 there will be some leopard-print (nice), tees, scarves, LBDs and lovely jackets. this adorable collection will be hitting the shops as-we-speak....SO, run run RUN !!!

MARC JACOBS did it again....he made me jump with glee over his new DENIM line. there are 9 new styles in 12 washes, from 70's flare till the adorable Slouchy Slim Jean. SO there's a denim for everyone....here are some of my favorite ones (and hopefully coming to my wardrobe very soon):prices are between $138-$228 and hitting the MARC BY MARC JACOBS stores this month. thank god i'm in Paris soon, where my nearest MBMJ store is....i have to get me one of these (or ALL of them) !!!

first there were the spring/summer 2011 "baroque" PRADA glasses and now GIVENCHY put some 50's cat-eye glasses on the runway....THE PANTHER COLLECTION they are called.
they don't come cheap: $574,- for the regular ones and $640 if you want black fur (yes you red it right....FUR) on your frame !!! PURRRRRFECT for the cute fashionista HELLO KITTY or an older glamazon (and even more cute) DAME EDNA.

L B B as in LITTLE BLACK BAG, let me introduce them to you, first up the lovely (not so new but still on my wish-list) PROENZA SCHOULER PS1 bag:for some really dark days i'm craving for the Gorgeous GIVENCHY melancholy bag:and finally the bag i totally go crazy for....the cute and fabulous ALEXANDER McQUEEN Wicca bag: i hope that dreams do come true or that my credit card can hold it out till the upcoming London fashion week and i finally can get me the WICCA bag at the ALEXANDER McQUEEN boutique on bond street....THIS i do not want to buy online, no way....I REALY WANT TO FEEL IT....like a true addiction !!!

I want to take you back to ALTA ROMA a.k.a ROME FASHION WEEK, i received some pictures from my photographer from the Renato Balestra fashion show; very rich and colourful collection and seeing this reminded me of the edge of glory days during the 80's

we all know that the snake-print is gonna be HOT this fall and you all know that i truly adore CHANEL LE VERNIS...there are these new season colours: ADDER, PYTHON and COBRA. SO, what will happen when those 2 things combine: ME CHEERING and running to the nearest CHANEL BEAUTY counter as fast as i can.....this is SNAKE-A-LIOUS !!!

GIVENCHY launches a new scent called DAHLIA NOIR, it's the first scent created by RICARDO TISCI....really looking forward for this one, who also created a scent under a new creative director is VALENTINO called VALENTINA and BCBGMAXAZRIA reenters the perfume world with this lovely bottle (launch 1st of august)....it's gonna be a great smelly new season !!!

AMAZING show (just look at the first picture) and amazing collaboration between designer DENNIS DIEM and lifestyle entrepreneur INDEPENDENT ITALIA who brought some fantastic sunglasses. one other thing caught my eye....the shoes....very high and strange, they remind me of the fall/winter 2011 JAN TAMINIAU ones (BEYONCE wears them on her album cover of 4)....job well done Dennis and Independent Italia.

lovely show to watch but WHY was it during AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK, Edith&Ella is an nice Scandinavian brand but VERY commercial....perfect for basics and too commercial (oh wait i said that already).fashion show pictures copyright MODEL & FACES PHOTOGRAPHYyou know what: the goodiebag was very commercial too, again some REDKEN products, tea, a bracelet, wash-foam and a pink with butterflies toothbrush ??? i kinda like it....thanks VOLVO.

and that gift-box comes from NET-A-PORTER (i just love that designer heaven online shop). when i was browsing on NET-A-PORTER, i found me these amazingly high and studded BALMAIN killer heels....I GOT TO GET THEM ON MY FEET (and in walk-in).YES, i will enjoy my next fashion week, THANK YOU....especially with my new BALMAIN killer heels (but first, let me work them out at home...they are really REALLY really high (11,5 cm and loving it) !!!

this Danish brand founded in 2004 by Line Markvardsen and opened in Copenhagen her it's first store in 2005....nowadays EDITH&ELLA is available in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Ireland, Japan and in the Netherlands of course....the fashion show during the AIFW will be held on the saturday the 16Th of July....STAY TUNED for my report !!!

One of my favorite English designers in a collaboration with my favorite cookie from LADUREE, this is a delicious designer dream coming true (OK, mister Williamson didn't create a new macaroon flavour but the lovely box they come in) and his kaleidoscopic butterfly wing print works for me any time. the launch will be at the start of London fashion week on 16Th of September at LADUREE LONDON and available world-wide from the start of PARIS fashion week on the 26Th of September....you know why they call it a limited edition....EXACTLY because it's on sale for a limited time....SO, LET'S GO AND GET IT !!!
