DOLCE&GABBANA part 2

this lovely designers duo has an other option for you for this upcoming winter....if you don't like that boyish look (or if you want to have both looks, like me)....you can go for ultra feminine: think body-con dresses, stars, pointy shoes, sequins and lovely earrings....a.k.a ITALIAN GLAM-ROCK!!!
P.S. is that a sequined MISS SICILY BAG i see???....OMG i think i am in love :)

DOLCE&GABBANA part 1

after seeing the spring/summer 2011 collection i was a bit bored by DOLCE&GABBANA....a couple of seasons they send the same feel and look down the runway....BUT this fall/winter 2011 runway show they shocked me (in a very good way), this winter will be totally different....us girls will be boys!!!

while coping (or buying) this look, think about two men or actually two boys....BRYANBOY and BOY GEORGE....you know me, give me a mens tuxedo-jacket and some sequins and i will have the time of my life!!!

JIL SANDER f/w 2011

i think this fall/winter collection by Raf Simons for JIL SANDER is really gorgeous and with some of the loveliest colours and a fun-to-wear floral-print (love the idea that the shoes are in the same print as your dress or coat), also seen is the new belt height....this winter it should be on your hips, but be careful it can go totally wrong (look at the PRADA f/w 2011 collection).

HOUSE of HOLLAND f/w 2011

it looks like that the 70's will be with us for a little while longer....the fall winter collection from HOUSE of HOLLAND also got the inspiration from that era:

Laura Ingalls from little house (of Holland) on the prairie 2.0:and remember Donnaand Jackie from "that 70's show"this dress....i could see Mary Tyler Moore (my favorite show from that decade) wear this on her day-off:

really lovely collection by Henry Holland....patchwork, orange, stripes, pleated skirts and a lot of fun....HAPPY DAY'S ARE HERE AGAIN !!!

tribute Alexander McQueen.

a year ago we had to say goodbye to one of the greatest designer of our time....for a little tribute, i wanna take you back to London....to be specific: the ALEXANDER McQUEEN store on Bond-street.from his f/w 2006 "WIDOWS OF CULLODEN" collection, Mister McQueen has put a mark on my (fashion) life....I embraced the macabre with fun and i learned that you don't need to be a goth to love the darkness !!! his last collection is the most wonderful of all designers from 2010 (and not just because he is no longer with us, but really is AMAZING), SO when i walked into the store my jaw dropped....from left to right, up and down, everywhere i looked, i saw the amazing clothes from this collection....it made me tear-up.
also this one of the most spectacular stores i have seen....the staircase was so amazing, the colour of the whole store was so Serene and there where video screens playing his winter presentation....i stood still for a moment.i wanted something special from this great designer as an tribute to him....i decided that i needed a classic scarf a very long time ago, i also decided that i want to buy this at the Alexander McQueen store on Bond-street, no were else....i was happy and sad at the same time !!!
the fashion-world will miss him for a very long time and thank god that Sarah Burton has become the new creative-director for this fashion brand so that it will continue to exist....i want to end this with an old saying (my way): THE KING IS DEAD, LONG LIVE McQUEEN !!!

Don´t hold this against me !!!

i love Britney Spears....yes i do....i´m just born that way ;) but she never was fashionable tough (not even in her video-clips), in her new single "HOLD IT AGAINST ME" she really looks amazing AND she got a very good stylist for this video.

take a good stare at this video for some OTAZU jewels and MARLIES DEKKERS lingerie....SO, enjoy:

let´s hope she will keep up this look (and stylist) for a long time !!!

NYC fashion week 4

Time for some patriotic feelings at JASON WU....no less than 5 beautiful dutch girls walked on the runway to show us what's up for next winter.

Daphne Groeneveld:

Patricia van der Vliet:
Saskia de Brauw:
Nimue Smit:
and last but not least, Mirte Maas:
what i can say about the collection it-self....VERY BEAUTIFUL, just the right print, just the right cut, just the right fabrics, just the right way styled....JUST PERFECT (and that makes it a little bit to safe, but then again....sometime it's a good thing !!!).

NYC fashion week 3

according to the Z SPOKE by Zac Posen collection we will embrace the inner goth in all of us this upcoming fall, BUT in a really sophisticated way AND with some amazing bags (i got to get me one of those)!!!

BLACK ALL THE WAY: clothes, eye's, hair and lips....but don't worry, there was some lilac and fuschia in this collection as-well (just a little).
p.s. look at CRYSTAL RENN (5Th picture)....this "plus size (without the plus)" model looks really good, don't you think?

NYC fashion week 2

a lot of black and white mixed with some fabulous colours at the BCBG Max Azria fall/winter 2011 fashion show: really lovely burgundy, amazing orange (I'm gonna dream about that orange dress Patricia van der Vliet is wearing) and true electric blue, the collection has a "nomad of the future" kind of feel to it and i think that will be a refreshing look after all of those military influences.
