Happy at Harrods

next stop....HARRODS....i just love it there (if you skip the tourist-route).

first i have to show you 2 of the windows....famous all around the world !!!OK, let's cut the chit-chat....SHOP TILL WE DROP !!!

i have 3 thing's on my list that i have to score at Harrods, first-up the DOLCE & GABBANA beauty stand (we don't have it in the Netherlands, SO it was all OOOH and AAAH. i was eyeing for this gold nail-polish and this fabulous black mascara, when i received my little "goodie" bag there was a present in it as-well....the lovely sales assistant put a DOLCE & GABBANA eyelash curler (bye bye SHU UEMURA) with my purchases....how very kind.

and when i turned around, what did my eye see....TOM FORD beauty....i GOT TO HAVE his new designed lipstick....SO i did, in this amazing color....SMOKED RED.OK, i need a coffee break....my head is twirling from excitement....and where else to go but LADUREE (my favorite place to go in Paris AND London), but i can't keep sitting in my seat....I GOT TO GET me that JOHN GALLIANO box with macarons....MMMMM.AND THEN THE CLOCK HIT 8 PM, TIME TO GO BACK TO THE HOTEL, CHANGE AND EAT.it was a very lovely day at this very lovely amusement-park and i got really connected....I AM OF TODAY AN OFFICIAL HARRODS CUSTOMER (thanks to this fabulous little black card). YEEHA !!!

INSIDE THE KELLYBAG

at SELFRIDGES there was a giant Hermes KELLYBAG, but it has a twist to it....you could go inside....SO, i did (of course) !!!















i stepped inside the lovely bag and i sat down (yes there was a stool), and then a movie started....a young woman came into an room, looked under the bed and picked-up her KELLYBAG, and then....the giant bag i am in start to move like something from an theme-park.

isn't that fabulous....now we know how a kelly bag looks at the world.
when i stepped-out again, i asked the lovely lady of Hermes "COULD YOU GIFT-WRAP THIS FOR ME PLEASE?"

LOVELY LONDON

SO....i am back from LONDON, it was very lovely but ooh so cold !!! and don't get me started about the construction-work....the whole city was one big building-site, oxford circus, regent street, the Ritz hotel, regular streets and tube-stations....all are under construction....i asked the locals why and guess what they said....the Olympic games in 2012....isn't that JUST great !!!

but that didn't get me down....because THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING and i had much to see and i must work-down my shopping list, but first let's enjoy this COCA COLA "GLEE" CLUB (and they are good)...."ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOUUUUUUU" !!!over the next few day's you gonna find out more from this shopping-trip....where i was, what i did and what i scored (of course)....SO ho ho ho, STAY TUNED !!!

SWEET LIKE WATCHES

there are some new watches on the market, especially for the giving season (to GET is nice too)....and DAMN, they are sweet like pure chocolate.

first to taste: TECHNOMARINE CRUISE SPORT CHOCOLATE (that's a real mouth full).
and as dessert: the TRIWA "NEVIL" in HAVANA BROWN.YUM YUM....GIVE ME SOME (with a lovely ribbon on it, if you know what i mean).

i hear LONDON calling !!!

if you read this, i am on my way to LONDON....you know, to do some really sirius Christmas shopping, to see the MATTHEW WILLIAMSON exhibition at the Somerset house and to do some more shopping after that.stay tuned for all the details (it could take a while tough, because there are a lot of shop in this town).

VIP gallery opening

i attended the VIP gallery opening of the lovely LARISA KATZ.we all know her from the famous TV show....PROJECT RUNWAY, and now she opened-up her work space for us to see some of her work by showing a HAUTE COUTURE runway collection....an other designer who showed her collection here was: BOUCHRA EL HATTACHI (real cool stuff she makes).

N A, as in....NAILPOLISH ANONYMOUS.
HI, I AM NADINE, and....UHM....i am a NAIL-POLISH ADDICT !!!
i have over 30 bottles of nail-paint, it all started when i was a little girl....i wanted to beautify myself, so i asked my mom to put some of her nail-polish on my nails, i will never forget....a nice shade of pink....and i LOVED it.
now many years later, i can not get enough....every-time i buy a new outfit i have to get a new shade for my nails to accompany the clothes, and when CHANEL announces that a new IT color is coming....i get an itch in my wallet.
i want to stop, because i think ENOUGH IS ENOUGH....but then a new shade of color comes along (like the JASON WU collection or the new baby-blue from CHANEL for this upcoming spring), i go and grab it....oh well, what the heck....THANKS FOR LISTENING.

OMG, is this really happening ??? i mean, the lovely LANVIN for H&M collection i scored (with their price-tags still on them), is not up-to-date anymore....the media is speculating about the next top designer at H&M, according to the french tribune, it's no one other than TOM FORD !!!

when i red this on modeblog.nl i could not believe my eyes....especially the name TOM FORD, OK he can use the publicity for his own new label, but Tom Ford him-self isn't that keen on the speed of the fashion world....like what i am saying down here....HE didn't even let people take pictures at his s/s 2011 presentation, because he doesn't want that the world will be tired by his work before it even hits the stores....SO, TOM FORD....not likely (a dream coming true, YES).

JUST LET US ADOR LANVIN for H&M JUST A LITTLE BIT LONGER (until the end of this upcoming party season that is) and then when the new year begins.... I AM READY FOR IT !!!

OMG, I WANT LANVIN !!!

it was very very VERY early in the morning (05:15 AM to be exact), i was fully dressed and sitting in an empty train....DESTINATION....Liege in Belgium....TARGET....LANVIN for H&M of course, i was fully armed with warm clothing, water, sandwiches an umbrella (you never know) AND my shopping list. as i arrived at H&M, my friend GAIL called...."are you standing in line"....OF COURSE, "oh that's fabulous, if possible, could you grab me that lovely leopard bag from Lanvin"....i will do my best, AND SO I DID....FRIEND HAPPY, ME HAPPY !!!

i got ALMOST everything i wanted, except for the fur jacket, NO DRESS YOU ASKED ??? NO....no dress for me, too short....BUT i am very satisfied.

DEAR MR. ELBAZ, THANK YOU FOR THIS LANVIN EXPERIENCE....IT WAS REAL FUN !!!

YES I AM !!! and of today i can shop at a real FENDI boutique (OK, it's a shop in shop at DE BIJENKORF....but a place to spend it big...it is), the first one in the Netherlands.and now we are on that subject, DE BIJRNKORF has been sold to no one other then SELFRIDGES....isn't that amazing !!! be ready for more glamour in the Netherlands from now on !!!

SO, the next time i am in Amsterdam, i know what my first stop will be....because i am a true FAN di FENDI !!!

this a real surprise....an industrial designer and a make-up brand in a lovely collaboration.
Marcel Wanders was inspired for this collection by the famous painter VERMEER and his even more famous painting "THE GIRL WITH THE PEARL" (thanks to the movie with scarlet johansson).

this collaboration will be launched on the 24Th of November in the united states and on the 4Th of December in the Netherlands.

what can we expect....lipsticks, highlighters, compacts, lip-glosses, mascaras and accessories....i really love the brushes....makes me feel like an true artist.

SO, let your face be the canvas, and brush away this party season.

yeeeeeha !!! our favorite fashion retailer from the U.S.A is coming to europe's main land.

soon (very soon, i hope) we can DRESS FOR LESS at this retailer, they are looking for a building in Breda....OK, i wished that they had think about opening-up in Rotterdam, Amsterdam or Maastricht, but Breda will do (for now).
